Großenhain. In its tenth year, the wholesale business had to E.M. Decorative of Enrico Müller at Waldaer Straße 20a filed for insolvency. According to the provisional insolvency administrator Heiko Schaefer from the Dresden law firm, the blame lies on BBL Brockdorff the current crisis, which began with the Corona pandemic. "On the national and international supply routes, the costs for the company have almost doubled," Schaefer said when asked by Sächsische.de. Enrico Müller did not want to comment publicly himself. For logistics and transport, the wholesaler recently had to spend too much to still be able to operate profitably.

Supply chains have also been disrupted since the Ukraine war at the latest. "Goods no longer reached the company in time for seasonal deliveries," says lawyer Schaefer. The Großenhainer, which had developed out of the former Scheuche wholesale Lampertswalde in the halls of Weber upholstered furniture, obtained the florist supplies and decorative items largely from China and India. Twice a year, the bulk delivery used to come from the Far East.

Insolvency proceedings for the company were filed at the beginning of the year. "We are now stabilizing at a small level," says the provisional insolvency administrator. The wholesale business has not been closed. It has been downsized, and sales now take place only at the Waldaer Strasse location. Flower stores, nurseries and gift stores as customers can only browse directly next to the bypass at the Dekoprofis.

As a master gardener, Enrico Müller was responsible for purchasing for 22 years at the Scheuche company, which had to give up in 2012. When he left, it was clear to him: I'm setting up my own wholesale business for florists' supplies and decorative items. He had taken over two sales drivers who deliver to customers every three weeks. Then there was even a third driver. The managing director, who lives in Walda, also obtains his goods from German manufacturers. Around 15,000 articles were listed at E.M. Dekoratives in good times. About 8,000 articles were or still are on the high shelves. The former upholstered furniture halls offer 1,000 square meters of space.

The wholesale customers are located within a radius of 200 kilometers. Enrico Müller was or is a supplier for exclusive decoration stores in big cities as well as for the small flower store in the village. "How a solution for the company could look, I can not yet say," says lawyer Heiko Schaefer. An employee and Enrico Müller's mother also worked for the wholesaler, packing the orders into boxes that used to be transported to the customers. Sometimes something was also sent between deliveries - by mail.
